Feedback on Glory Cakes. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) located in Melbourne (Victoria)

Overview
So, I recently stumbled upon this place called Glory Cakes on Rose Lane in Melbourne. It’s one of those cute little bakeries that you’d love to find tucked away. The vibe is chill, and I kinda had high hopes because, well, who doesn’t love cake, right?
I mean, the reviews are a mixed bag—29 reviews with a score of 3.9 stars, so that’s telling you something. Some folks rave about the strawberry cake. Others have had experiences that sound… less than heavenly. One person went on about a durian mille-feuille being the best! Hilarious!
Now, you have to know, they’re open every day but the hours can be a bit wacky. On weekends, they start a bit late—perfect for those sleepy brunch vibes. They do takeout, which is a win if you ask me. Imagine grabbing a slice of that choco roll and heading to the park!
And hey, a little birdy told me the staff’s pretty friendly. Esti and Jenny seem to especially leave a mark on customers with their warm service. It’s always nice when the people serving you aren’t just robots, right?
But, like any gem, it’s not without its quirks. Some say it’s a tad pricey, and I get that—sometimes you’re just not ready to drop nearly nine bucks for a slice. Still, if you’re in the area, it might just be worth checking out. Just don’t go after 7:40 PM, or you might find the doors locked. Ah, the joys of bakeries!
