Driftwood Café: A Glimpse Through a Local’s Eyes
Tucked away on Princes Hwy, Driftwood Café in Milton has been on my radar for a bit. I mean, who could resist a cozy spot with ocean views? As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a casual vibe. The back deck? Absolutely dreamy!
Now, the reviews have been a mixed bag. Some folks rave about their breakfast options—like those scrambled eggs on toast that got high praise. Others, well, not so thrilled. You might overhear complaints about dish appearances. But hey, taste is subjective, right?
A few of my mates have mentioned their burgers being decent, and they keep coming back for the coffee. Speaking of, I overheard that they serve 7 Miles Tazzina. Not bad!
But, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. I’ve heard whispers about service slipping now and then. Staff were described as friendly yet sometimes overwhelmed. And let’s be real—when you’re paying a pretty penny for a meal, you want to feel valued.
Still, the outdoor seating seems to create a nice space to unwind. Perfect for families, given it’s kid-friendly with high chairs available and a kids' menu. Plus, street parking’s free, so that’s a win for those driving in.
Just one thing—swing by during their open hours, or you might find yourself staring at closed doors. If you’re in the area, why not check it out? Sometimes, the atmosphere and a decent cup of coffee make all the difference.
